The Best Time to Visit Lake Tahoe

When To Visit Lake Tahoe
Anytime is a good time to visit scenic Lake Tahoe. The popular year-round destination draws millions of visitors from around the globe.

The hottest months are July thru' August. Expect snow and low temperatures during November to early April. Spring and Fall can be relatively mild or chilly during the day and cold at night, so be sure to wear layers.

Note that the weather can change on a dime — we experienced ALL "four seasons" (and snow) during one of our visits in early June!

Spring, Summer & Fall
Enjoy scenic lake cruises, boating, kayaking, parasailing, water-skiing, fishing, horseback riding, carriage and haywagon rides, tennis, golfing, mountain biking, hiking... and more during a Spring, Summer or Fall visit to Lake Tahoe.

4th of July
July 4th "Lights on the Lake" is a FUN time to visit South Lake Tahoe.

Fun Winter Attractions
North and South Lake Tahoe (California and Nevada) offer world-class Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowboarding during the Winter months.
