The Bracebridge Dinner started in 1927 and today it's more popular than ever.

Each December, the world-famous Ahwahnee Hotel transforms its grand Dining Hall into the 18th-century English Manor of Squire Bracebridge — inspired by a character from American author Washington Irving’s legendary “The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon.”

Guests go back in time to celebrate the holidays in Merry old England with a sumptuous four-hour, seven-course holiday feast, presided over by the fictional Squire Bracebridge.

As the lavish banquet unfolds, diners enjoy Elizabethan-style theater and music — performers mingle among the guests as over 100 cast members play the roles of the Squire Bracebridge and his family, their servants, the Lord of Misrule, minstrels and other performers.
