Nov. 3 — London's Oxford/Regent Streets Holiday Lights Switch-On, London. Come out to see the West End's famous Oxford/Regent Sts Holiday Lights (Dickens theme)— it's the first-ever joint Christmas switch-on. Lighting takes place 5-6:30pm. Jim Carrey, one of the stars of the new 3D Disney adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol," will turn on the Oxford Steet illuminations.

Nov. 5, 12, 19 — Nightlife at the Academy, California Academy of Sciences, Golden Gate Park, S.F. This is the last month to enjoy "Nightlife at the Academy."
