Ubud, located in the mountains of central Bali, is considered the artistic and cultural hub of the island. It’s home to Hindu temples, palaces, museums, and talented artisans. Be sure to visit Ubud’s scenic Tegalalang Rice Terraces. It’s truly one of the most spectacular sights in Bali. And no visit to Bali would be complete without seeing one of the island’s colorful traditional Balinese dance performances – one of the highlights of our trip. Tour Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of Bali’s most spectacular temples. It’s perched on a cliff 600 feet above the sea on the Bukit peninsula. The temple is located about 45 minutes from Nusa Dua and just over an hour from Kuta. Another popular Balinese temple is Ulun Danu Beratan Temple (pictured at top). The “floating” temple sits on Lake Beratan in the heart of Bali.
