After the Changing of the Guard takes place (just inside the Palace railings), the Guards march out of the gate on the right.
The Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place at 11am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and daily during the Summer (weather permitting). The ceremony lasts for about 45 minutes. Note: Days and hours are subject to change.
Best Viewing Location
For the best views of the Changing of the Guard, arrive early and stand at the Palace railings or climb on the base of the fountain/statue in front of the Palace. You can also stand to the left or right front sides of the Palace, but be prepared for large crowds, especially during peak tourist season.
