Eiffel Tower - Paris
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognized structures in the world. Built by Gustave Eiffel in 1889, the tower stands at 1,056 feet, making it the tallest monument in Paris. On a clear day, you can see up to 40 miles away. For the best view of the Eiffel Tower, walk up to it through the Champ-de-Mars Gardens. Go early or later in the day, when it’s not so crowded.
Each of the Tower’s three levels offer spectacular views of the city. Costs vary, depending on which level you take. We recommend you take the elevators to the top of the Eiffel Tower for the most panoramic views of Paris. Stairs will take you up to the tower’s second floor, but not the top. Three elevators go up to the first and second floor. To reach the top of the Eiffel Tower, you must take another elevator from the second floor. Be prepared to wait, especially during peak tourist season. Pass the time people-watching – it’s worth the wait.
Le Jules Verne Restaurant
Located on the tower’s second floor, the prestigious and romantic Michelin-starred Le Jules Verne restaurant offers spectacular views over Paris. It also has its own private elevator access.
The Eiffel Tower and Le Jules Verne Restaurant are open daily.
