Musée Rodin - Paris
Rodin Museum
The charming Musée Rodin is nestled in a beautiful manicured Rose Garden, with a view of the Eiffel Tower in the background. This was Rodin’s studio from 1910, until his death in 1917.
The Thinker
The courtyard holds three of his world-famous sculptures – The Thinker (my favorite and perhaps his best-known work), The Burghers of Calais, and The Gates of Hell. There are also a number of other famous sculptures and bronzes located throughout the museum and its gardens.
The Kiss
Inside the Musée Rodin, sits another classic and world-famous sculpture – “The Kiss.” One of our favorite movies depicting the magic and romance of Paris (with scenes at Musée Rodin) is Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris.” The 2011 movie is a must-see for Paris lovers.
Closest Metro
Varenne
If you’re arriving by Metro, be sure to check out the two sculptures on the platform at Varenne station as you exit the train.
