The Palace of Fine Arts Lagoon in San Francisco reopened in November 2006 after going though a $6 million upgrade. The lagoon area is known for being the site of famous films, pictures, weddings, people-watching and family gatherings. The Palace of Fine Arts was created in 1915 for the Panama Pacific International Exposition. The fountain and swan-filled lagoon is one of the most photographed places in the world.
When Barry and I first met, we would go to the Palace of Fine Arts lagoon area to spend the day in the sun relaxing and reading. Pack a picnic lunch or stop by a local deli to pick up a sandwich and enjoy hanging out with family and friends. Over the years, we have continued to visit the Palace of Fine Arts lagoon.
