Chocolate lovers won’t want to miss a visit to the new Ghirardelli Chocolatier at San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Marketplace (at Ghirardelli Square). Launched on September 13, 2014, the exclusive Ghirardelli Chocolatier program includes daily live chocolate demos – free to the public.
Watch as lead Ghirardelli Chocolatier, Bree Smith, creates fresh, hand-crafted milk, dark and white chocolate from bean to bar. What a fun job!
Bree is on-site Wednesday-Sunday 11am-7pm. Additional Chocolatiers are at the Marketplace daily to create yummy chocolates by hand in front of visiting guests. Each Chocolatier guest will have the opportunity to create a unique mouth-watering chocolate bar. During our visit, the first thing we noticed as we approached the Chocolatier Bar were the three taps of continuously running chocolate (milk, dark and white) – lucky there was a glass partition in front of us to stop us from sneaking a taste!
Ghirardelli Chocolatier products include slabs, offered in milk, dark and white chocolate, with a variety of combinations (almonds, sea salt cashews, apricots and more), molded bars (Ghirardelli light bulb sign and the world-famous cable car), as well as fun seasonal molds – a good excuse to visit Ghirardelli Square for each holiday.
And that’s not all…
Ghirardelli Square now has two Ice-Cream Parlors where you can indulge your cravings with one of their famous hot fudge sundaes – the original Ice-Cream Shop (always with a line out the door) and the new one at Ghirardelli Marketplace (located at the opposite end of the square).
No one does hot fudge ice-cream sundaes better than Ghirardelli. And now with the exclusive Chocolatier demos, you have two good reasons to visit Ghirardelli Square and get your chocolate fix.
What’s your favorite… milk, dark or white chocolate?
