On a recent visit to Carmel to meet friends visiting from New Zealand, we stopped for lunch at La Bicyclette. What a charming little restaurant! The ambiance and service were both excellent and the menu, although not large is quite enticing. On the day we dined, I opted for the Fisherman’s stew which was excellent. My companions enjoyed one of their pizza’s (lovely thin crust), a deconstructed burger, and the omelette du jour.
Everyone was happy with their meal. One of my friends requested the burger without a roll and I asked that clams be eliminated from the stew and both special requests were handled beautifully. And the desert was not only beautiful but delicious. A must stop whenever in Carmel.
