If you’re looking for somewhere FUN, casual and “buzzing” for weekend brunch, Sam’s waterfront restaurant is the place to go. Sam’s Anchor Cafe is one of our favorite waterfront restaurants for weekend brunch in the San Francisco Bay Area, if not in the U.S. We’ve been coming here for years. It’s been around since 1920. And today, it’s as popular as ever, with locals and visitors alike. The restaurant is located in Tiburon, Marin County on San Francisco Bay.
Waterfront Deck & Views
You can’t beat the ambiance or the views from the waterfront deck, especially on a warm sunny day. It’s worth a trip just to see the SF Bay and skyline views alone, not to mention all the boats and people-watching. From the outside of Sam’s, on Tiburon’s Main Street, it’s doesn’t look like anything special. But walk through the bar, past the dining areas and out the back door to the waterfront deck and you won’t believe the view! Heat lamps and heated benches keep you warm on chilly days, especially when the fog rolls in.
Sam’s Anchor Cafe Food
Al fresco weekend brunch at Sam’s is not to be missed. We love their Eggs Benedict. And if you like crab, don’t pass up the delicious Crab Benedict and Dungeness Crab Fries (pictured at top). For casual dining, we really like their Hamburgers. And the classic beer-batter Fish & Chips are almost as good as those from “across the pond.” Daily menu selections include everything from Fresh Salads and Soups, to delicious Seafood, Cioppino, Clams, Oysters, Lobster Roll, Fish Tacos, Pasta, Fried Chicken Sandwich, New York Steak… and more. There’s something for everyone. Sam’s also offers a fun Kid’s Menu.
Dining Areas and Bars
Indoor dining room overlooks the waterfront deck and offers San Francisco Bay views. Sam’s indoor bar is located just inside the front entrance, off Main Street. Its popular outdoor bar is located on the deck overlooking the bay. Enjoy a variety of cocktails, including Sam’s Famous Ramos. They also offer a wide selection of beer and wine.
Parking
Public Parking lot is located just off Main Street. Arrive early before it fills up. Don’t want to drive and own a boat? No problem… Sam’s has a dock out back.
